Violet is Nine Months Old!

It breaks my heart that my tiny little baby girl is already nine months old. Somebody slow things down! Really, she's closer to ten months old now and I find it hard to believe her first year will soon be over.

Violet is a spunky, sweet, and incredibly patient little girl. She's growing well and is still in about the 50th percentile for height and weight. She was 27 inches long and almost 18 pounds at her last check-up.

Violet crawls and cruises around furniture pretty fast and does all kinds of big kid things now. She follows her brother around and always goes to comfort him if she hears him throwing a tantrum. She loves playing with blocks and stacking cups and baby dolls and also enjoys being snuggled and tickled. She makes hilarious dinosaur/growling noises when she's excited or upset. She also loves to try to eat all kinds of table food. She is a sweet girl and we're glad we have her.

Cousins!

On Friday my brother and his family welcomed an adorable new addition to their family, a sweet little girl. Atticus and Violet like their new cousin pretty well, but were especially thrilled to have her older siblings over for a sleepover while their mom and dad were in the hospital with the baby. They went on a fun walk, played with toys, jumped on the bed, watched a movie and ate popcorn, made (and ate) homemade cookies, and giggled a lot. Violet finds older kids especially hilarious and Atticus wants to be just like them.
