Chickens

This is James's endeavor. Let the record show, he gets all the credit if this turns out to be the best most fun thing we ever did, and if not, well...

James has been wanting chickens ever since we got a yard. He's got his heart set on eating eggs from our backyard and on getting to experience raising animals. He would like to have pets of all kinds really. He's probably thinking this is just a start. Let the record also show that I oppose that idea.

Anyway, some dear neighbors recently moved and couldn't take their chickens with them, so this was our chance to get some chickens and help them out.

The coalition for reason on the premises is outnumbered. It's 3 chickens and 2 (soon to be 3) small children vs. a pregnant lady and a guy who can't seem to take on enough projects. Wait, is there a coalition for reason here?

Fun! We had chickens for a couple years when we moved to the Lindon house. It was really a fun thing and I have lots of memories of those chickens. Picking eggs out of the coop for breakfast was a favorite past time. Ah, memories.

Well, good luck with your new endeavor. I've been trying to convince Jarom that we need some feathery friends. He would rather have goats. Seriously? Haha. Yet, we remain animal free. :)

Mike wants chickens so bad his teeth hurt...but alas! We fall just short of the city lot requirement and he's just so blasted honest. Good luck!! :)
